Fox News host Sean Hannity dismissed new revelations related to January 6th preparations and says elected leaders, regardless of party affiliation, need to be safe and protected.
SEAN HANNITY: Unfortunately, the Democrats are not interested in how the Capitol is hacked, why safety so unfortunate. But here’s the saddest thing for me, and it should be for the whole country. And this whole saga is the hidden key and important information that we now know about the intelligence they have that was ignored in the run-up to January 6th. , will never happen again. Like perimeter security, like the White House. You know, they have these concrete barriers that keep you out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Then they have a big wrought iron fence. We must all agree with this. This is not a political moment. Protect our institutions like our Capitol. And every elected official, regardless of the party. This should be the top priority. But for Democrats and others, politicizing something, in this case vilifying Donald Trump, was the only thing that mattered to this committee.
TUCKER CARLSON: DEMOCRATS, ADAM KINSINGER AND LIZ CHENEY LIED ABOUT JANUARY 6
…
Most Americans want our elected officials, regardless of party affiliation, to be safe and protected. This should go beyond politics. You might think that this is something that Democrats and Republicans should defend together. By the way, this also applies to judges of the Supreme Court. They should be protected. There are laws against people protesting in front of their homes, but we don’t enforce those laws.
For many Democratic politicians, violent unrest is a political opportunity. Why? I’m guessing they think they can rally their base, or of course they don’t want to alienate their base. Or maybe that’s why they were not and are not focused on quite real security failures at the Capitol on January 6th. Or maybe it’s because a prominent Democrat is to blame for these security glitches, according to former Capitol police chief Steven Sund, who will be joining us in a minute.
